Brand New Athletic Facility

The $3.2 million, 33,000-square-foot building will include a multipurpose area for team practices, an athletic conditioning space, batting and pitching cages for baseball and softball, hitting nets and a practice green for golf, and a weight room for athletes.

Located just west of the RSC and connected to the DeWitt Physical Fitness Center, it will relieve demands placed on the fitness center’s four-court area, which currently serves athletes, students and Orange City community members.

Rowenhorst Student Center
At Northwestern, students’ education is a 24/7 experience in a highly relational community for which the college is known and respected. Communities need spaces that encourage togetherness, and the Rowenhorst Student Center (RSC) is our “main street where friends meet.”

The renovated RSC opened for students at the start of the 2007–08 school year. The award-winning redesign is an attractive and functional student services mall with comfortable lounge areas and easy access to:
    * A large bookstore and post office
    * A cyber café with patio seating
    * A wellness center with health and counseling services
    * Classrooms and other student meeting spaces

In addition, the RSC is a visible and student-friendly center for student government, campus security, student development, event planning, and services for international and minority students.

Dutch Diamonds
Northwestern’s baseball and softball teams compete on the MOC-Floyd Valley High School diamonds. The lighted facilities with dugouts each seat 500 spectators.
